Wanting to buy a good used rapter 660. just wondering if there is much difference between the 700 rapter and the 660 b/c friend has one and don't want to be left behind. willin to spend around 6-6500. Thanx

If your willing to spend that much go buy a 700. It is night and day difference over the 660, chassis and engine wise. Much better bike, but a little more expensive if you want to mod it because you have to buy a programmer for the FI.

Stock form the 700 is a few bike lengths in front of the older model, and are going for right around what you said youd spend, around here anyways. So IMHO go with the 700!

I see there is gonna be a few Raptors around Stoney Mtn and Stonewall, this year, i bought a new o4 last year, puton a slip on and did some airbox work to it, and jetted it. Im lookin forward to running against a 700. Have to organize a ride out here.

BTW stay away from 2001 models, tranny's go south and its a $1000 fix every time it goes. i was told i can buy some sort of bearing and a new gear set, and its problem solved but i haven't looked into it.

I'd go with the 700, my ds650 will walk a 660 but I'm eating rocks against a 700.

Theres been a black and red one parked outside Thruway muffler shop on plessis rd in Winnipeg. Was for sale last fall and now again this spring. Not sure what year. 663-3431
