id say defnitly worth the trip. i was working up there yesterday. wasnt on the snowmobile but drove up to where the plow stopped. looked excellent. wasnt a cloud in the sky. also talked to a few guys that were there on the weekend and they said it was awesome. but the warm sun is melting it fast. 8degrees at the airstrip yesterday.
goodluck.

Well Hunter's Mtn. is at the beginning of the Highlands Rd. Thats where everybody usually leaves from. But.......this year the Highland road has been plowed 10 miles up or so and the road is getting pretty rough and muddy. So......another entrance to the Highlands is the Fielding Rd. It starts in Margaree. So just head to Margaree and when you get in the community........stop and ask for directions to the Fielding Rd. Its easy. Goodluck.

Turn at the Big Red Barn going into Margaree. You drive for maybe 15-20 minutes and you come to a road called Egypt Rd(on your right). If you turn there, drive to the end and you will make a right at the stop sign. Once you turn there will be a dirt road just a little bit from that. Go up the dirt road and you will see the snow a little ways up. If you go past a little white store you have gone too far. I was there on Wednesday and the trails were great. But it is melting very fast. Good luck!!! Have a good one!

I just got back from the Highlands 1/2 an hour ago. I didnt think there was going to be as much snow as there was. the highland road is a little bumpy in spots, but it is almost april.

all the side trails are great..the snow is hard though and melting fast. it dropped a foot since last weekend

Been there, done that, I made it 10 miles in highland rd. a few years ago and popped a piston. It was this time of year too.
You got all summer to fix her up better than new anyway :div20:

Whats ironic, is on the way there we asked for directions and body told us he use to be a yammie dealer and still had a ton of parts. So were just buying a engine instead of rebuilding this time. ..well be all good next year :div20:
