Hello !
My friend has big cooling problems with his RMK-600 ( 2003 ) 144"
Does anybody here know what to do ?
* Any "cooling problems" Recalls ?
* Polaris OEM Extra cooler ?
* Temp sender problems ?
* TPS problems ?
* Air pockets ?
* Longer/Bigger Snow Flap ?
HELP !

Have him check the thermostat, sometimes they come apart or get cockeyed and lock themselves closed. Extended periods of running hardpack also overheats them and scratchers help. Get a longer U-cooler for the rear, stock one is small and meant for deep snow/powder only. Good luck.

Take a look at the cooling bottle, they were recalled on some edge 600's... They kinda melted...
Also check to see if the snow flap is sufficient. They had recalls on snow flaps around 02 or 03 because they weren't long enough to keep snow in the tunnel and cool the sled...

Scratchers, scratchers, scratchers is the only way to go. I run a short old school wedge flap on my '03 mod and have never had a cooling problem on hard packed trails if the scratchers are down. Temps run between 135-150 even in 45 degree weather.
