Four guys are driving cross-country together, one from Maine, one from
Vermont, one from New Hampshire, and one from Massachusetts.

A bit down the road the man from Maine starts to pull potatoes from his
bag and throws them out the window.
The man from New Hampshire turns to him and asks, "What the hell are you
doing?"

The man from Maine says, "Man, we have so many of these damned things in
Maine, I'm getting sick of looking at them!"

A few miles down the road, the man from Vermont begins pulling bottles
of Maple syrup from his bag and throwing them out the window.

The man from New Hampshire asks "What are you doing that for?"
The man from Vermont replies, "Man, we have so many of these damned jugs
in Vermont I'm sick of looking at them!"

Inspired by the others, the man from New Hampshire opens the car door
and pushes the man from Massachusetts out.

being a transplant I still find it funny but your right the economy of the north revolves around those of us from the south whether thats southern NH, MA, RI or CT. Doesn't mean we need to go up there and try to turn it into the place we are trying to escape from which is what really pisses off the locals.

Southern N H is pretty much Northern Mass and Yes, all our trailes are now developed. A Holes are A Holes and this area is filling up with them, from Mass as well as Native grown. :smilielol:

Been to NYC....just think there's something about Boston, there's such a history to the place I love it. Bunker Hill, the Boston tea party, Fenway, USS Constitution, the local seafood, the old Garden, Celts, B's, Sox, etc., etc., etc.,.....place just kicks ass! we have a condo on winni, and the taxes are threw the roof, 3 times more then mass, we also went to reg/insure a bike, and they hit us with another huge tax yearly, the cops up there have a hardon for anything with a motor, and they bust balls so bad, you have to pay for everything you can think of.
mass takes your money but they atleast say, hey, you work, we take.
NH says live free or die, and then they steal your money. lol

then sell the condo if you don't want to pay the taxes. NH towns absolutely overtax the out of towners on second homes but if you know what to expect you really can't complain. They do that whether you live here or in MA as I know with my house at the lake. When they reevaluated my town only the properties at the lake were brought to market while the off lake residents were brought up to 75% of market. If I don't want to deal with it I could always sell it and pocket my gain because a lot more people want property in these areas than there is available which is why you see 150,000 camps in Pittsburg these days and houses on small lakes in the lakes region mostly priced over 500,000.

I pay less in property taxes on my 2 houses in NH than I would in income tax to the state of MA combined with their sales taxes and property taxes which aren't cheap. It's the primary reason I live and work here. NH even with it's property tax structure is still the second lowest tax burden in the country.
