Looks like I'm done after last w/ends 530 mile run to Amos and back from Temis. and I'm looking for some info while the memories are still fresh in evryone's mind.

I want to start a 4 day trip from Bancroft or Renfrew ON and head for to Maniwaki, Mt Laurier etc... next year. Where is the best spot to cross the river by sled ??
Ice, bridge, or ferry etc ??? Bancroft is only 2+ hours from home and that would be almost too easy to be in Maniwaki or Mt Laurier in a day.

Can you really take your belt off and roll down Devils Mtn for 22 Km ?

I rode with a guy from Pembroke about a month ago and they are crossing near Pembroke to Waltham(don't know if they go over a bridge). Also I think sledders from Ontario are crossing near Fitzroy Harbour to Quyon.

You should post on the Ontario Forum.......I'm sure you'll get a quick response.Lots of sledders from Ontario-Québec border ride in the Maniwaki area

Regards

.......by the way keep your belt on for the Devil's Mountain

When riding from Bancroft, go right to Pembroke. I believe you can cross about 10 or 20km from the town, it's signed well. Not sure that you'll make it to Mont Laurier in a day but Maniwaki might be doable. I don't have a map handy but I imagine you'd be looking at a 500km ride from Bancroft to Maniwaki. I've ridden from Pembroke to Bancroft and back a few times and it was about 220km one way. Doesn't take long though.

Last year I rode out of the Cayamant area and through Maniwaki and Mont Laurier etc. Montaigne du Diable is really cool. Not as steep as is sounds, it's just a never ending twisty climp.
