Hey fellas,

In September I am headed out to Colorado to go on my First Bowhunt for Elk. Bowhunting is my life, and I have never been to Colorado, so I am real excited about this!
My question is, since I would like to practice shots out to 60 yards, just incase I need to shoot that far. What type of sight is best to use out there? Right now I have an adjustable sight that I can mark for any yardage, which works really slick because I prefer shootig with one pin, yet I can shoot from 20-60 yards accurately. The only problem is that if an elk shows up in front of me, I probably won't have time to adjust my sight to the proper yardage. So for that reason, is it better to use a sight with multiple pins??
I currently shoot ot to 50 yards when I am practicing and I can hold 6" groups at that distance. I shoot a Mathews Switchback and it is a pretty sweet toy. I don't ever plan on shooting an Elk at 50-60 yards, but when your in the mountains and the going gets tough, you gotta work with what you have I guess.

So any advice on a setup would be greatly appreciated! I know this is a sledding site, but there are plenty of hunters here too!

moose hunting i use multiple pins 25,45, 60 .i only use 1 pin for everything else.as long as you have good space between them it's not bad

stick with the fixed pins,,, when your heart starts pounding when that big bull steps out you will forget about ajusting your pins. fixed is always on.. another thing to keep in mind is that many areas out west require you to shoot arrows that are over 450 grains. I use a 350 carbon with head weight. the switchback is a great little bow I have one on ebay right now #7230116287 just got the xl heres a few pics from what it has taken. the bear on the rack was taken with my black max 2 thats also on ebay #7230114830
