Every one that has PM'd should have a Paypal invoice by now.. I have black and natural in stock ready to ship for the first time ever. My tunnel, bent on the second ride and was covered under warranty, it has a lot to do with the dealer, a good dealer will step up to bat and get this covered. If any one else is interested Pm me with your email.

Frank they look nice - Very professional - Hell they were even packaged second to none - They fit great
They do not cover the VIN on my wifes sled - They slightly cover the VIN on my sled - Its obvious Cat puts the VIN or stamps them in different locations looking at both of my Crossfires
Go figure !!!!!!
I will make them work - Also i went with the aluminum finish - I will polish and install - My boots were wearing right thru the black in places , on my tunnel and i figured what the hell - Bling Bling
They can always be powder coated later if i want
Frank great job !!!!!

OK so I work 800 miles away from the house... sorry for the week delay... but I did email you in that time frame. When you told me your had my shit ready to ship, and YOU TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE GOING TO SHIP LAST MONDAY AFTER I PAID ON FRIDAY. Get your story straight... I have been asking for them since november and have been given 3 different dates when you could ship them....and only one paypal request from you.
My question was last night you posted that they were instock and ready to ship, but PM me that you were waiting for them from the powder coater. I just want to know who you lied to... me or the rest of the guys ????

Hi Scott,
Glad you are happy with them. He said he would pack them good. We have been super busy are work which is a good thing this is usually a slow time for us, so I'll take busy. And last night we had parent teacher meetings for my son. Sounded bad at first and then after an hour he sounds like a normal 5 1/2 BOY! We'll be home tonight.
And yes, we need snow to go riding!

You guys jumping and riding with your feet in the middle of the running boards?
I know someone with a xfire7 that airs his out HUGE and has not a bend or ripple-but he jumps with his feet way forward and knows how to use brake control for proper landings-
Dont the M series sleds have the same tunnel as the Xfires-I dont hear of issues on them either-I wonder if its the coupled skid along with swaybar thats twisting them up-
or just bad design and improper foot placemnt on hard hits-

I dont know about the rest, but when I jump, my boots are usually up front in the boot holders. I am used to quads so I am almost always "rider forward". I wanted the braces because of the flex when using the full length of running boards for powder riding, (climbing around the machine for balance) and some flat landings are a bit harsh. "Better safe than sorry" makes sense to me.

I am considering removing the coupler blocks to get some more turn-in and on-power steering.

seriously? foot placement isn't the issue here, neither is shock setup... both play a factor in the bending yes, but the tunnel shouldn't bend in the first place, no matter where you ride with your feet or how soft / hard your shocks are? why don't M riders have as many problems? who knows, maybe the conditions are softer in most cases, there could be a ton of factors, and they do have reports of bent tunnels, just not as many...but still thats not the issue either. The tunnels shouldn't bend, at all. These factors could attribute to the inconsistency of reports, ie. some normal riders reporting bends, while some hard riders having no issues...
The fact is that the tunnel is too light weight without enough support for trail riding. The fact that cat now has metal supports to go inside the tunnel is proof that they might be figuring out that the "hybrid" sled needs to be slightly stronger than a "mountain" sled when riding on trails, fields, etc in low snow conditions.
There is no perfect formula in my opinion that makes these bend.... rider weight, high jumps, speed moguls, soft and hard spring setups, foot placement, etc etc has all been ruled out or had also contributed to bending in peoples reports.
I just think the tunnels are too weak for "hybrid sleds" and needs to have support... like most trail sleds do from the factory.
my rant for the evening. $0.02
THEY SURE RIP TO 90 THOUGH

Might be a stupid question but I'm going to ask anyways. I see some guys are trying not to cover the vin numbers. Is there any particular reason that you don't want to cover?? I guess I don't see why it would matter so just thought I would ask.

I'll kindly disagree. Once again look at a firecat where the bolt goes into the tunnel at the front arm. There's a lot of bulkhead material rearward of that bolt to give it support...and keep from bending. The Crossfire has what....2-3" of material behind that mount. This fix from AC just adds to that support.

If you get pulled over by the DNR and they check your registration they sometimes will make sure the VIN # on your card matches the tunnel. Otherwise you could just carry anyone's registration. If you had that vin # covered you wouldn't be going anywhere.

I don't think you have to have Erie Power on them. The pics you saw were probably of my sled with the Erie Power supports. I bought my sled there and my sled was the guinea pig which they used to make the supports. I don't mind supporting and advertising for family.

When I ordered mine, they only had the "Erie Power" logo in stock. I guess they also have them plain without the logo. Mine are going on a Sno Pro with natural tunnel, so the logo doesn't stand out as much. Let me know if you want my other set.

For those of you looking for tunnel supports I just put a pair of them on my xfire from a 04 sno pro. I was in the garage one night with the sno pro and xfire parked next to each other when I did some measuring and with minor modifications they fit real sweet, even allows the vin# to be seen. The price was $38.00 each and took about 2 hours to make minor mods. The sno pro was a liquid. These supports run almost the whole length of the running board. Cat calls these suspension mounting brackets. I think they are item # 2 on the parts finder.

Hello i am a man from norway who just have teared my crossfire 700 apart and i have repaired my bent tunnel. i have a new front frame, but i did not want too buy a new chassi in the back, so ive knocked the bent tunnel back in possition . I will get some extra supports so this would not happen again.. I did notice when i did this pice of work that the tunnel is thin like paper........... so i am not a big fan of this contest about weight. .

At the dealer as we speak !!! Dealer or Cat wants to install the newer aluminum tunnel supports , that mount inside the tunnel - I will probably do the same with the wifes sled as i never got around to installing yours and those steel inside tunnel supports that Cat had out for the last few years

Arcticle - Arctic Cat
Q: I have a 2007 Crossfire 1000 with 1,400 miles on it. Love the sled's ride and all-around performance. I was replacing the bad power valve cable and noticed my tunnel was BENT at the foot wells. I am 54 and just trail ride and never do any jumping. Is Cat aware of this problem, as others have complained about this over and over on the Internet? Is this a warranty issue? Do you have an updated bracket for this? - AmSnow.com member Mike Walters
A: Depending on the type of bump you hit, coupled with the low snow conditions, you do not have to be jumping to cause damage to your sled. Arctic Cat offers a tunnel bracket kit (Part No. 4639-900 for the SnoPro models and No. 4639-901 for standard models). This is listed in the May 2007, Vol. 2, Issue 20 of the Arctic Cat ShopTalk (dealer service publication). If your track drivers are not bent and there are no obvious signs of abuse, your dealer should take care of you, and Arctic Cat will cover this during your warranty period. For added strength and insurance after your warranty has expired, it's a good idea to order these brackets to prevent damage to your sled. For 2008 sleds, we have added strengthening ribs and reinforcement brackets in conjunction with other changes made to strengthen the running boards without adding weight.

Not so sure that adding both would a good idea. That would be alot of rivet holes and could possibly weaken the tunnel at the same time.

Here's a couple of pics of mine with the arctic cat supports.
