I've Come Across An '03 SnoPro 440 Close To Me , And I Was Looking For Some Feedback Here From Anyone Who Has Run One As A Trail Machine. I Did A Search Here About The Sled , But Didn't Come Up With Much , Except What Will Be Needed To Modify It For Everyday Use . I've Had A Little Riding Time Last Year On My Brother's Standard F7 (maybe 100 or so miles) And Coming From The Older Indy Style Polaris Chassis I Was VERY!! Impressed With The New F Series From Cat. I Mostly Ride On Trails Around Southern Warren County , NY Or We Will Trailer Up To Indian Lake Or Old Forge . I Like To Ride Hard And Fast And Put On Alot Of Miles , But I'm Wondering About The Suspension SetUp (too stiff maybe?) And How It Will Be Off The Track . I'm Almost 6'2" And Weigh Around 195' , And I've Always Run With Stiff SetUps On All My Sleds . A Couple Of Other Questions I Had Were Regarding The Crank , Which I Read Should Be Greased , And Also What Are Any Other Major Issues With This Sled Or Areas I Should Pay Attention Too ? I'm Going To Try To Drive Out Friday Night Or Saturday And Look It Over In Person , And Was Just Wondering If There Was Anything In Particular With These Sleds That I Should Pay Extra Attention Too. FYI , From What I've Been Told The Sled Has Never Been Raced , And Is As It Came From The Factory , With 357 Miles On It. Think I'd Be Happy With This Sled ? , Or Should I See If I Can Find An F7 ??? My Sleds Last Year Were An XRC 600 And XC 700 , So I Was Kinda Worried About Stepping Down To A Little 440 . Many Thanks In Advance Here !!!!! -8ZERO4-.

shadow ill try and Q you in to where im at i havnt rode one at all but i just picked up a new one with 0 miles i traded it for my f7 i loved the f7 but i just think the race sleds are awesome i had a 2001 snpro and the suspensions are by far the best of anysled, what i did to prepare for the trail, cause thats what im using it for as well is send the cdi into cat and have then put the 02 program on it so that you can run 92 octane otherwise you would have to run 110 it changes the timing from 33 to 27 i believe, i think the greasing issue you are talking about is the water pump shaft not the crank i may be wrong but the water pump deffinitally need to be greased every couple trips out, i also added the rear cooler kit which is a must, and i jetted up a couple sizes, as far as reliability i cant comment cause im in the same boat as you but if you run everything on the safe side i cant really see why it wouldnt... so lets pray for snow cause i think its gonna be an awesome winter..

I have an 03 snopro for sale. it has C&A skis, 96 studs, and acerbis handguards. I also have a F7. The snopro has incredibly more go for a it being a 440. they are geared down and set up to be very quick. top is probably only 70. but you could change the gearing to make it have more topend if you wanted. But for ditch banging and getting places quick it would be ideal. we are selling ours for 3900.
