I know this has probably been covered here at some point, but I have read tons of posts and not found it. I found this site after I bought my sled. The "certificate of snowmobile pre-delivery" sheet only has the "assembly/service/inspection" section filled out and the box for "complete applicable recall or factory directed modification" is not checked. There are no stickers under the hood for completed recalls either. I read one post that said you can call a dealer and give a s/n to find out if updates are done, but that is just paper work, I would like to see the changes for my self to make sure they are done. I have only one ride on it (approx. 150 mi) While I loved the chasis, I was very surprised with the vibration. It is so bad at idle and just off idle that you think the windshield may crack from flexing so much. My 800 twin feels like it is not running compared to this one. If anyone knows what all the recalls and updates are I would greatly appreciate the information.
Also, does anyone know of a fix for the fuel guage accuracy? My guage showed three bars and it only took 3.4 gallons. The manual says to not run out of gas. I assume that caution is for the fuel injection? One trip I take each year is 200 miles with a single gas stop roughly in the middle. I am not aware of a good way to carry spare gas on this sled.

where do i start ....first off if the updates are done there should be a bunch of stickers on the air box......also they should be registered on their computer under that serial number........
the vibes are the nature of the beast .......the 05's were a little worse than the 06's
don't worry though your windsheild won't break .....the fuel gauge sucks ass.....i don't even use it.........watch your odometer you should get about 100-110 miles on a tank but that is no gaurantee so check it out for yourself........and yes don't let it run out of gas or you will be pulling on that rope for a week to get it started again........i do beleive they make ''tour buddy'' auxilary fuel tanks for these now .......they hold 2.5-3.5 gallons of fuel and it mounts on top of the tunnel under the tail light.......
IF YOU GOT ANY MORE QUESTIONS ABOUT IT JUST ASK AND WE WILL HELP YOU OUT .........CONGRATS ON BUYING THE FUSION AND WELCOME TO HCS :beerchug: :beerchug: :beerchug:

There are no stickers on my airbox except the warning sticker. Either they didn't add them or nothing was done?
It looks like the SLP torque arm and push arm are mandatory, and a new air intake is a good idea as well. The SLP air intake kit looks like a pain in the rear to install, I have heard of one other intake that I can't remember now so I do not know how difficult that one is.
Thanks!

i never needed none of that shit on mine..............why don't you put some miles on it before you go thinking you have to change everything

The best way to check if the recalls are done is to have a dealer other than the one you purchased it look up the serial number. And se if they can do a sebsequent inspection. Some dealers were caught not doing the recalls, and only applying the stickers. Been there, done that! I am still pissed at them.

Vibrations? What vibrations? LOL!!! my windshield movement was minor compared the dance my ski tips would do at idle. Keep an open eye for missing fasteners under the hood, especially on the side-plates. But some sleds had more vibes to them than others. A simple thing to quiet the vibes is outlined in a TSB which states to pull the primary clutch off, put it on a taper ream and lightly spin the clutch on that, then install with a 96 Ft/Lb pressure, run the sled and re-torque to 96 Ft/Lb again.

The timbersled intake is easiest to install with no modifications. It comes with a belt guard, Some have had belts come apart and take out the belly pan & airbox with the explosive power.

Another very common issue is belt dust ingestion on these modesl. If you are going to stay stock on the intake, it must be checked & sealed to prevent this problem, the biggest offender is the drain holes by the throttle bodies.

Watch for the oil cable sticking & breaking at either the elbow behind the primary, or at the end by the pump.

Good luck, Get a dealer you can trust and has a good, trained fusion tech. it could make the difference between you loving or hating this sled.

Once you got some miles on it, then start looking for proper skid set-up to make it a real rocket!!!
