Does anybody know what the fines are if your VT Registration / Trail Permits are not current?

Thank you.

p.s. I would never consider this it’s information for not for me, but someone else with similar good looks.

In MA, along with fines, they have your sled TOWED. Not good

just buy the damn thing. cheaper then a day of skiing, as others have mentioned.

3 years ago my dads buddy was caught without his TMA, even though he'd bought one (left it at home, never put it on sled). cop was going to make him leave the sled right there with them. he was able to pursuade them he had it at home, so they let him go with some outrageous fine that would be dropped if he sent proof of it within a week or two.

tell your "buddy" not to cheat the system. it hurts everyone else in the long run. BTW, if you ride up north (only place TO ride) the cops are out in force. you/he won't get very far without the TMA.

the fine is more than the tma

so, buy it, and save money, and aggravation

That was the answer I was looking for.
Thank you

last I knew, the fine was about $130.
only the cheapo's who don't understand where the money goes and what it does try to "beat the system"
then the bitch about the lack of grooming even thought they didn't buy a pass dunno.gif

1: I have no problem supporting the trail system, I am trying to justify the $300.00 to register 2 sleds to ride less than 30 miles. That is why I join multiple clubs in NH.

So please don’t give me the holier than thou speech.

2: I have liability ins. On all my sleds even both ZR120’s have it.

I try not to beat the system but when you know you will ride less than 30 miles its hard to cough up the extra $$$$

And I am sure nobody here has ever ridden in another state for ½ a day without first registering.

Many have said this before...$8,000+ for sled $30,000 for truck to pull it! Pay the friggin' $120 to register! I have registrations in NH, Vermont, and Quebec and I have about 100 miles in NH and Vermont each. I'll pay it again for one weekend! If you can't afford it find another form of recreation that you can have someone else do all the work and you have all the fun for the same price!

P.S. Tell this to your friends that do not want to pay if it isn't you asking the question.

hell go for it I went out this morning and onley got stoped once take your chances wtf are a few dollors anyway if you dont get caught cool if you do you will wish you had the propper paperwork because the fines are per sled not incedent

I already knew I was going to get the permits, it just frustrates the shit out of me to anticipate spending more $$ this year. :banghead:

After I register the sleds I won’t think about it again.
Till next year.

But I am the type that would rather spend the money before the ride than deal with the BS on the trail.
