Anyone have any first hand information on the latest trail conditions in the Butterfield Mtn. area of Groton? It doesn't look like any of todays snow will make it that far north. I had heard that Buzzy has not groomed. Anyone been through there lately?

This is from the Snowbee's site and we have had no real snow since.
Below is a copy of the trail condition in the Groton State Forest region:
Trail report for Groton area
Feb. 24, 2006
It is 10:15 AM, there is a clipper snow shower going on. Buzzy and I have just gone on a 20-mile ride. Left CA 10 went west on Rt. 302. Rode the “loop” Rt. 302C once, good cover but icy. Went out beyond Jct. OE 78 to Knox Mt. turn around, good cover. Back to Butterfield parking lot and back to CA 9 where we turned onto Rt. 2004. Good cover some ice, back to CA 10. There are 2 to 3 inches of snow feathers that makes for a lot of snow dust. We met seven snowmobilers; they had unloaded at Butterfield Parking Lot. I have not been over the hill to the railbed because the snow is too thin between Jct. CA 10 and CA 5. If you just have to go for a ride and do not live too far away you could take the same ride we did. Go around a couple of times watch for icy spots, there are two trees down but you can get around them.

Trail conditions for Groton
Mar. 2, 2006
Very limited riding. You can unload either at Butterfield Parking lot or at the Upper Valley Grill both are located on US 302. Railbed from Upper Valley Grill to CA 12 is fair to good. At Jct. CA 7 west Rts. 302 , 302C and 2004 are fair to good.
At Jct. CA 4 do not go up rt. 232 it does not have enough snow cover.
