Anyone know if you can can get into Bloomfield or Cannan by sled at this point? Was just trying to figure out some routes for the w/e

we got to Norton tuesday..will prob go back tomorrow. I think they are going into Canann but it's got to be awfully skimpy.

Cannan hill was not what I would call real icy - just need to use a little sense. Keep right and all that. I went up through just after some egg head felt he had to pin it to the bar coming out of every corner and polish the ice. Other than that it was fine. Coverage was thin in spots but through the tree farm was okay.

Rob, you got to Norton from Walden? If so, do you mind sharing your route? Leaving from Wheelock tomorrow morning.

We drove from IP to Canann last weekend. Was alittle hairy coming off the hill and going through the fields there wasnot alot of snow but u still could make it there. But up in the mountains it was really good riding. We are planning on going up tomorrow.

Just got back, we went into Canaan today no problem. It was thin, but not as bad as I expected. The whole area picked up 2-4" yesterday and that really helped. But by this afternoon it was getting snirty again. We trailered to and unloaded at state park lot at back of IP. We crossed lake and got gas easy. You can also get gas at Canaan. Lots of sleds out, and some even riding the lower elevation trails, but I wouldn't. Up high it is really good, IP is doing a heck of a good job with their grooming. Many IP trails had again been groomed overnight.

Some are riding here in Walden, but I wouldn't. And forget going from Walden to IP, no way.

PS..while gassing up we saw Teddy giving somebody a ticket right in town. He is keeping busy :fluffy:
