We left for Irasburg, VT from Southwick, MA at 5:00 PM on Saturday and drove right into the snowstorm! We had smooth traveling until about Greenfield. It was snowing like hell all the way up to about White River Jct. We were down to about 30 mph at times due to the heavy snow falling! Finally after about 5 and a half hours, we made it to teh house. A trip that normally takes under 4 hours... Well, the rest of the crew was already there, so we all :burp: like mad men! Got a few :sleep3: Finally woke up and trailered to Norton. The trails were incredible! :div20: We rode 111, 114, 105, 106, rode down into Island Pond. The trails into town were a bit icey on the last couple of corners, but were travelable. We were able to make it to the Irving gas station next to the Lakefront Motel rather easily. Fueled up, had a snack and headed back into the mountains. even saw 3 State Police Sleds just north of IP. The groomers had been out the night prior, so everything was perfect. I have pics, just can't figure out how to post them...

Not sure what part of 111 you rode on, but the part I was on Sunday sucked! Hadn't seen a groomer in sometime - lots of ice from the warm spells - but plenty of snow to work with IMO.
The tree accross 105 on the way to Cannan had 8+" of snow on it proved a groomer (or club memeber with chainsaw) hadn't been through there in a while either.
All in all it was still great riding.
97 was freakin' mint!!! :div20:
Even with the 20mph wind and 60mph sled! :brrrr:
114 wasn't anything to cough at either, even late in the day - kudos to the groomer I met coming back into town on the re-route - thank you and keep up the good work. :fluffy:
