I've got a cabin rented near Lake Willoughby and wonder if it's going to be worth heading up. The recent cold temps and occasional snow has me thinkin' the trails might be decent in a another week.

Any input from the locals???

Just got Back from Lunenburg area. Been snowing all week, about 6" of powder on top of a good base. Riding not to bad up high in the Mountians or where the sun dosen't hit. Nothing down in the valleys. If you can get up in the hills, should be ok.
Calling for snow most of the coming week.

Hey Joe,

We trailered to the little parking spot on 114 just past the railroad overpass just past the intersection of 111 & 114. conditions were a bit thin for the first mile or so up the mountain, but by the first intersection, we were great. We hit trail 111a & b, 114n a bit of 105 n then it got very thin. Once we got a little north of Little Avrill pond/lake is where it began to thin out. We tried to make it to Cannan but ran into dirt and made a u-turn. Trail 2000 was sweet too! Saw a lot of fresh moose tracks Thrusday morning for we started out early and laid the first tracks on about 3-4 inches of fresh powder. Never saw a rock or bare spot. Much of it was groomed smooth as glass. A few slick icey spots on the typical corners, but overall, It was about the best I've been able to find this season in VT. You'll have to bring extra fuel because most of the gas stations aren't too accessable...

See ya soon

I won't be able to go north next weekend. :banghead: I have other things going on. I'm hoping to go up after the weekend of the 4th /5th. Hopefully the conditions improve. I'm thinking of Maurice's, the place across from the Northland in Cannan if theres enough snow. :fluffy:

P.S. I sent you a PM
