GSX,
I went out last week in Woodford and it was really not that bad. There is more snow south of Kelly Stand / Airport Rd. area. I would park off rt. 9. It has not snowed much since then but has been very cold. It is probably the best you can find anywhere in Vermont and you would probably have to go to Tug Hill or Northern Quebec to find good snow.
I looked at the link indicated and the pics were not from the trail part of the road. Where the elevation is higher. It is not good to be sure, but when you run out of snow, turn around!
Good Luck

thats not even funny!

not bad? the trail is dirt and rocks, there's NO BASE!
the pics are from where the trail starts on arlington rd and the elevation is very close to that of airport rd.

as to riding from rt 9, the last time that part of the trail wasn't that bad was before christmas.

i wish they'd close the trails for a couple of weeks.

if they did maybe we'd get a base again, instead we have guys like you who think the trails aren't that bad and ride anytime they see some snow.

high of expectations, no but i doo remember what it's like to go snowmobiling.

and this isn't it.

Ski resorts did a good job with snow making.

If you paid and didn't ride at least you supported your sport!

Southern VT: Rout 7

We've been slamed with wind, There are many large trees down. When we do get snow and your able to ride Route 7, Look out! There are huge trees down accross the entire trail (1 foot diameter).

I know I rode A few miles at the highest elevations. counted 6 Trees blocking the trails some small and some accross the entire fire road on turns!

If you have a chainsaw and a four wheeler. Be a HERO!!! pls...

I was joking about the smok'in the bong. Take it easy. I'm 35 not sure what relivants that has to any thing?

I went out in woodford, and my sled overheated within 3 miles. I'd call that pretty poor conditions.....
JJDREVCT
hahahahaha, my sled is better than yours. Mine took 4 miles before it overheated in Woodford last week... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

we got snow yesterday (less than an inch) and it's snowing now.
at this rate if it snowed for the next week we'd get 3-5 inches.

oh and the wind's been ripping, i'd guess 50+ mph
JJDREVCT
Perfect for blowing the little snow we have right off the trails.....
