I am wondering what year was the best for this sled as far as looks,power,reliability,etc? If anyone has any input it woudl be appreciated.

well, it was only made for two years, 03 and 04... 04's have perc standard, straight rate springs, DET sensors, and a different drive shaft, but are essentially the same sled...

personally i like the look of the 03 better, but the 04 had a couple of nice upgrades... the 03 had progressive rate springs which caused a lot of body roll when pushing it, i installed straight rates and it made a nice difference, i've also added PERC to mine... that DET sensor likely would have same my motor when i burnt up a couple weeks back...

niether will perform better than the other, if you like the looks of the 04 it is a slightly better sled, imho... depending on the price difference of course

Sadly only 2 yrs to choose from.

04 has PERC which is nice, no other difference.

The 04 X2 is the best bet with the taller seat/ better ergos/ Walker Evans remote res shocks and 1.25 track .
harder to find and pricier...well worth it.

I also think the 03 colours/graphics are the best...opinion though.

I would base the buy on mileage/condition/history etc rather than anything else between the 03/04.
