Well, as of right now, we are down to just 1 groomer for the Cedarville, Hessel, South Pickford and Detour trails. Usually 1 groomer is kept in Detour and 2 in Cedarville.

The second groomer for Cedarville is experiencing track troubles, have to replace both tracks. The Detour groomer "should" be back up and running today, an oddball hydraulic line burst, and wouldn't you know it, because it is a bombardier product, only a bombardier style hose will work.

So, right now, the trails are decent, but without all the groomers, I can't imagine that the trails will hold up for long.

Are you expecting some visitors?? frech11.gif

Steve, you might try your local TSC (Tractor Supply Co), you could change out the fittings, or TSC has quite a few conversions from one style to another. Their hoses are real reasonable also. I have a backhoe, and anything with hydraulics is going to give you problems.

The hose is supposed to be in today. It was shipped from Marquette Wednesday. :div20:

Are you referring to the week of Feb. 20th? Is that spring break or something??

BTW, I have already scheduled to leave here Friday the 24th around Noon, that will put me in Houghton Lake around 2:30ish, is that too early or too late, or should I leave earlier in the day? Shoot me a PM with directions.

All the groomers are fixed. I was talking to the club president yesterday, and he told me that he would have groomed more of the local trails yesterday, but because a lot of sledders were being difficult (imagine that, a sled not wanting to make way for a groomer) he decided to wait til today to groom. dunno.gif

Just when you think that sledders are cool, you come across a-hole riders. I know for a fact that I would welcome the sight of a groomer on weekends. Maybe the jerks were sno-cross wannabes. :frech32:

I did ride a little today and hit some freshly groomed trails between Cedarville and Pickford. I can't help but to smile and giggle a little being the first one on freshly groomed trails. smiley-faces7.gif

I'm sure that the groomers will be out in full force this week in preperation of the upcoming snows fest weekend. :fluffy: dance_2.gif

BTW, I finally met "dabear". His screen name is quite appropriate-anyway, did you get that red yamaha back in running order, or did that cat have to tow you in?? :smilielol:

No, no parts in the Soo. Taking the machine in at 10am. If they cant fix it in time, I'm going to ask then to get me the parts and take a day to do it myself.

Eric drove the few miles back to his place and we hooked it up to his jeep. My 2nd ride and I didn't even make it to the trails...
