Bring your VAST membership card and save $3 a ticket. Kids under 10 free with an adult. Saw this in the VAST news I believe.
Talked to a guy whose kid races - the track is built and they're hoping for a few inches of fresh stuff to make it white. Supposedly a larger track than what they normally race on.

Hey Red....nice job out there. :div20: You were moving up nicely until that guy on the Polaris dumped it in front of you...what a bummer. Bet you did not know you had fans in the stand rooting for you. How did the rest of the day go for you??...we left around 2:00pm. I told my daughter's "hey there is the guy from HCS"....they were all pumped up. Keep up the good work!! :beerchug:

so what is the format of the day? I will be going sunday and I know racing starts at 10am. but what do they start with and how long does it go? I wanna go for the pro races especially and may be going with the wife, so it has to get good fast cause we wont be staying all day. she'll get bored and cold pretty quick.

today a lot of the youth and such ran until about 1:00 or so. the semi-pro's really started doing some racing after that time. the people i had a ride with wanted to leave at 2:00, so i was kinda bummed. the good racing was just getting underway (the pics shown are semi-pro).
not sure what tomorrows schedule is, but don't worry about getting there too early if it's the same as was today.
crossfire, as soon as the faster guys got to race it was great.

I went today from about 1:30-4:30. pretty cold, fun to watch though. now I understand why people don't like cans or whatever on sleds. they are much much louder. all the stock sleds you could barely hear, the open classes were pretty loud, wouldn't want them going anywhere near my house.

Went Sat. Had to leave early, but got to see some good racing. Was impressed with some of the up and coming younger guys. I'ld have a hard time getting a couple of feet off the ground comfortably. Lots of the high flyers do moto-x in the summer, so I guess that helps.
Looked for you Todd, but lots of people there.
Were in hell is the snow? :banghead:

Thanks for all the support guys. I had a blast racing for my first time. I learned a lot that is for sure...
Saturday I finished 3rd in the first qualifier and I stole 1st by a long shot in the 2nd qualifier. Then in the final, I guess my jetting was off(warmed up and the sun was out) and I bogged off the start real bad and went into the first corner nearly last. I made several moves durring the first two laps to work my way up to I believe 4th place. Right at the end of the 2nd lap the guy on the polaris lost it and I had nowhere to go but to into his sled. I lost several places while getting around him but worked my way past a couple more people to finish 7th.
Sunday I finished 3rd in the first qualifier and 2nd in the 2nd qualifier. I finished a clean 3rd place in the final.
I plan on racing the Barton race too. Hopefully I'll see some of you there.
