Was on OFSC looking at this district and everyone says closed.

I know they got a big dump the other day and I have a work buddy with family in Owen Sound. Wondered if a mid week trip for a day or 2 would be worth it mabey next week.

My girlfriend parents live in Port Elgin, said they got lots of snow now. Problem is, it was so wet before the snow I dont know if they will open anything until at least a week of cold weather. I have to go there this weekend anyway, hoping I could bring the sled but might be to soon.

Dont worry Zoso, I'll be back the weekend after on the 17th I believe. Wish I could come up every weekend, but after it took me 10 hours to get home last Sunday because of the roads I gotta save some money on fuel, less in my truck means more in my sled. In the meantime enjoy the trails, you guys up there are sooooo LUCKY!!!!!!

I am in Sauble Beach. The groomer has been out and about. Some trails opened and others yet to. Still open water around. If you don't know, don't go. There are lots of broken and drooping trees in the bush due to the heavy snowfall. Power was out in our area anywhere from two to five days. Be extra careful, as there are lots of hanging limbs protruding from the sides and above the trails. Another week will make a big difference.

The chesley, paisley areas were all good too!!!! I have to throw this out there, tell me what you think!!! It was very, very busy on Sat around these areas must have seen at least 75 sleds in the 6 hours i was out on Sat. I was riding with the father in law who hadn't been on a sled in 30 years. So the whole day I kept watching behind and when people caught up to us i would pull over and let them pass because he wasn't riding that fast. Well there were alot of fast riders out on Sat but this one a-hole takes the cake. I see a group of guys coming in the distance but they are a way back, next time i turn around, to my horror, I see the lead asshole riding about 2 inches off the bumber of the father in law who doesn't even know he is there, I quickly pull to the side but the father in law doesn't know what i am doing and pulls up beside me stopping quickly. The other guy narrowly misses him and is pissed off like it is the father in laws fault. I love to ride fast too but people need to remember not everybody is a pro, wait to pass and dont ride on peoples asses. I would have killed the guy if he had run into him, I had to borrow a sled just so he could ride. :frech32:

Chesley and Paisley area was so busy on Saturday because the Palmerston rally went up and around that way. My hats off to the Chesley and area clubs to the west of there for having the best trails today. But a great job goes out to all the clubs and their voulenteers for having most of the trails in great shape.

Thanks People!!! :beerchug:
