Anyone know what something like this would take? Would it need to be mechanical or PERC....and whats the difference between the two? Thoughts on cost?

you can do either, perc gets my vote... on the polaris website i seem to remember them being about 100-150 price diff, perc being higher... i think perc is worth it though... no added weight, no added drive train drag/complexity... win/win, just will lighten your pocket book a bit more...

'01 pro x 600 doesn't have team secondary does it? Would need it for perc.

01 does not have team clutch which you will need and a new oil pump. The oil pump is what caused me to drop it.

The oil pump comes with some of the kits (my prox 600 PERC kit had one). You will need the 18 degree flywheel.

Would reverse be possible on an 01 Edge 600?

What all is needed?
bonz50
perc is possible on ANY big twin if you are willing to go to lengths to put it in... lotsa things needed, oil pump and other parts as mentioned above, PERC compatible secondary (Team or polaris roller), flywheel, etc...

edit : it can be done, but is VERY expensive unless you source some of the parts from wrecks or people parting out there motor/sleds...
