Haven't been over to the GANNY for a month like most because of the constant rain.
Was there any base left at all before this snow today (Monday)

Let us know if someone is out on Tues.
Would like to go for a ride some night this week.

I live about ten minutes from the Ganny and I can't see how the conditions would be sledable now.
The woods behind my house had no snow in it before this last little bit.
In other words------------------not recommended
Nutter
Just got in (12am Wed morn) from a night ride to the Ganny

Conditions were fair from the PPSC club house over to Burkton watch for 2 good sized water holes just east of Burkton, from Burkton to Noones trails were fair to good to excellent, the Ganny was a perfect 10 every trail groomed to perfection, with a good base.

I didnt want to come home, I could of rode those trails all night

With more snow on the way for the end of the week, looks like southern Ont sledding is back :div20:
Nutter
I forgot I had a couple of pics from Monday afternoon  of the young lad and I buzzing around, and a couple of the most important guy's on the trails :div20:

Thank God the Ganny is back up and running. Thank you Nutter for the report, as always you prove yourself to be the number 1 Ganny Rat. I am leaving for a buddys cottage northeast of Apsley for the rest of the week and will watch closely for rides out of the Port next week on the board. Get out there and enjoy it , remember what happened after Christmas. One day it is awesome, next day gone!!!!

Well holy shit,I stand to be corrected.

Thanx Nutter.

Hello All,

Me and a buddy are heading down to the Ganny in about an hour if anyone is interested in hooking up for a couple of hours.

Does anyone know if the trail over to Rhino's is completely rideable?

And what time does Rhino's close weeknights?

Damn I'm starved

Mike

The base was gone over closer to rice lake. But the forest never lost it. It will be thin in the fields i bet.
Nutter
Just got in from another flight through the Ganny all I can say is AWSOME!!!!!

My neighbor and I took the young lads with us........................ya we lost em somewhere in the Ganny, We were getting fuel at the Esso and told them "go on ahead we'll catch up" we finaly found them when they called us from home after they had their tour :banghead:

We thought for sure our wives would let us have it for losing the boy's, instead we got home and they laughed at us dunno.gif

Thanks Nutter for the info.

The Ganny

The Gannaraska Forest - beside the 115 at the cut off for the 35 - big place, many, many places to park and unload. I think the favourites are Noones (gas and rewsteraunt) (Southbound on 115) or exit at 35 and park in the car-pool lot right there on the West side of 35. There are many others if you know the local backroads, which I don't, hehe.

As of last night the trails are as smooth as glass!!!

Groomer was out!!!

NUTTER!!! Says it all :div20:

HEAVEN!!! Trails are perfect!

Hey guys, I thought I'd pop in and say hi!

Harry, the trail foreman for the Long Sault has just informed me to post the trail conditions for this area as being "Good"

Also, groomers will be out this evening, making sure things are tip top for the weekend

I also wanted to let anyone who is interested know about some stuff going on at the Long Sault Club House....

This weekend is the Easter Seals Charity. I have been told there will be an auction. Sautrday at 1:00pm , a sealed auction and at 5:00pm, a public auction with proceeds going to easter seals. Also, they are having free snowmobile rides on a brand new 2007 Yamaha. This is always a great event, so if you get a chance, stop by.

Also, next Sunday, Feb 19 the clubhouse is hosting a pancake breakfast. The ladies of the Long Sault will be there serving a wonderful home cooked meal.

Anywho. Have a great weekend everyone, and maybe I'll see some of you at the clubhouse.

Well, unfortunately I was unable to go to Port Perry for a ride with Nutter due to a commitment. I was able to hook up later with teamskidoo and make a great ride of the Ganny. Enjoyed small talk and a brown pop with Jeremy (sp?) at rhino's. The trails were smooth, a little icy in the corners but it was all good. :div20:

Yes, that's him. If you remember him from his tractor pulling days, then you probably remember me. This is Jenn - or Jenny, his daughter. unfortunately, there is not much pulling or mud bogging going on these days, but he still plays in other things.
