Guys:

Iceman's comments about running into all the sleds on the Breast Cancer ride out of Deerhurst this weekend made me realize something.

This coming weekend is the Lyon's Camp Dorset Poker Run. They have about 300 sleds that register and ride the Poker run - it is a great fundraiser.

However if you are not planning on participating you may want to ride in a different direction - the trails usually get really nackered!!

its not the poker run! its the drunk run!!!

after the run is over i have seen sleders leaving the camp drunk!!!

its a shame!!

i will make sure there is opp there this year!!!

I just hope the lake freezes up where you come into town at the gas bar! There had to be 18 inches of water and slush for the last 150 feet on Sunday. It was so nasty there were some helpful sledders there to help drag out those who didn't make it! :div20:

Does anyone know the route the poker run will follow? I'd prefer to ride in the opposite direction.............

They usually go around the north side of kawagama; the ones they use are mainly the club trails and don't see that kind of traffic on a regular weekend.

the area will be a zoo regardless.
