I guy in our group had his 03 rev 800 stolen right out of his trailer sometime between Friday night (2-3-06)and saturday morning.They had to go right past the 24 hour guard. Makes you wonder doesn't it. Later that day we heard someone at the desk tell a new arrival that no sleds have been stolen this year.

His trailer was probably in the fenced parking lot. It has a guard during the day and you need a pass to get in or out. A chain is across the entrance at night, but there is no guard on duty till morning. That is why he only lost the sled and not the whole rig. There is a seperate corral for sleds and it should have been in there.

Was the trailer locked?

Was the key in or out of the sled?

Was the trailer backed in so you couln't open the doors?

Just curious?

I question some when it comes to theth, Ive heard once that some americans come up north and ride a few days and then let their sleds or invite the theth of their machines by talking to locals in the erea, so as to collect insurance money or pay off loans.
Im sure this is not the case 85% of the time but all is possible.

The back couple rows of that lot are hard for the guard to see at night. The guy should have kept his sled in the coral. Thieves can come thru the woods at night and drag the sled from the back of that lot. There is no video surveilance. We asked Dennis about that, and he said he shouldn't need it when he has a locked coral. I agree with him.
