its too early to say, it might be mostly rain for coast/central area but as you go further north it will be more snow then rain.. ( jackman area and above sherman snow line ) lets hope so. :div20:

I watched Portland CH6 and NECN weather this AM. Both think north and in the mountains will be snow. I hope they are right. I'm supposed to head up to Greenville next week. They have not updated trail conditions in a while but looks like Rockwood over to Greenville and north of Rockwood are good to go. I'm praying for snow.

I think the title of this thread needs a revamp....
Latest model trends besides the NAM have the second s/w off the coast moving due north from Cape Hatteras to Gulf of Maine. Very few models support any inland track. I was hoping to work my schedule at school to go up but looks very unlikely at this point. I think the weather should be bad.... unless you like wind driven, low visability snow. I will say that at this point Eastern Maine looks to have heavier accumulations, but I'm sure that will change... So in all the weather looks much better. Ashame i'm going to miss it...

Here is what they are saying for Van Buren. Looks similar to the forecast from channel 8 news up here last night .

Here we go again. Rain in Maine..... Every weekend when you think this piece of shit winter might turn around the forecast calls for rain. I will be in Jackman Thursday night thru Sunday. The fuel required to get there and back plus lodging for my girlfriend and I = $300 bucks. Thats not counting the fuel and oil in the sleds. I save all year to ride and it's worth every penny usually.... but this winter is causing me more pain than pleasure.

this winter seriously sucks. i watched the weather channel and they said that late february is going to be a lot of blizzards and some "terrible" (So they call a lot of snow terrible do they) weather. Well lets hope there right but w/e.
