Statement from Tom Kroeplin, Warden for the Wisconsin DNR:

"The DNR does have a reduction team in place for Northern Wisconsin. We are currently concentrating in Northern Wisconsin because we are the only place with snow. This team travels around the northwoods in marked snowmobiles, trucks and trailers. The DNR is not out to get you – we are simply trying to reduce fatality rates and accidents in the area. In my opinion these reduction teams have been working. In fact the majority of people are happy to see us here. We just want to keep everyone safe on the trails.

In the rumor mill there has been much discussion of the DNR marking snowmobile headlights with a black line and then pull the snowmobile over when they notice them down the trail. This rumor also states we are concentrating on snowmobiles in town and perhaps at local drinking establishments. This rumor is not true – we would have no reason for doing that. In order for the DNR to pull over a snowmobiler we must have probable cause and know that a violation has taken place.

One more thing I want to remind everyone of is the 25 mph speed limit in the area west of the Hwy 51 bridge on Lake Minocqua. This area is what we call the Aqua Bowl, mainly it is the area west of the bridge, over towards the Beacons of Minocqua and up to the trestle bridge by The Thirsty Whale. The speed limit has been in effect since 1999 and it is posted on the bridges. Remember we have the speed limit due to the number of fatalities and accidents that have happened in this area. We are just trying to keep everyone safe.”

Well, they do have the 25 mph area marked well.

Went through there the other week.

If they use Kroeplin as a spokesman for the DNR, they obviously do not care one bit about their image to the public.
This clown is the biggest ass-pipe I have ever met! Too bad he didn't bring up his latest disciplinary action that has come down on him.

Do not trust one thing this ass-hole say's or does. This prick will lie so much you wonder if he believes his own lies. he will set you up, and bust you on bogus charges. His disciplinary record is 3-feet thick,

BTW, this stuttering fuck can't ride for shit. He is slow, and all over the trail.

They are hanging out near bars and in towns,

A little background on Kroeplin:
he lost a court case for a hunting citation, the guy that won the case was then harrassed by kroeplin by placing bait near the guys stand, and trying to cite this person for illegal baiting, (it was caught on a trail-cam) Also he would sit 30 yards from this guys stand just to annoy him and to make the deer scoot away.

Be careful if you run into this asshole in the woods or in a town!!!!

Gettin2Old, where is this clown based? Sounds like ALOT of the wardens follow his lead... :banghead:
semi
he is located in the minocqua area and has a reputation for being an ass. I don't know him personally but he has been in the papers and has had people complain about him quite often.

NOT GOOD. I will keep an eye out for the Jackass. Maybe he will take care of himself if he continues to be a prick?!? dunno.gif :beerchug:
