135-138 is a more realistic dyno number. There were some poorly-calibrated 800s last year that were low on power without some fixes. A properly-tuned Poo 800 is right on par with the Doo and Cat offerings.

didnt they have a problem with the cdi on the 800? if so, from what I have read would have caused the low numbers on the d&d dyno'ed sleds. I would say 130 plus from any 800.......

I seem to recall seeing dyno results from all three 800s as follows.
Doo 134
Poo 138
Cat 140
One of the mags had all three of them in there, but I don't remember which mag it was. All three are pretty dang close. It basically comes down to tuning.

but was it the 800 with the cdi problem?

That could have been why they saw such low dyno numbers. They also had TERRIBLE jetting from the factory.

The 2004 700 and 800s get the DET (Detonation Control) system. It will interesting to see what they are able to get out of these motors considering they can set them up more aggressively knowing that the DET should give them protection.

that was like my sled when I got it first terrible jetting, and bad cdi, but now, it's a totally different sled. it's fast now.

Hot Seats ad for the 800 is way off. Polaris should sue their ass. Look in Sled Tech and other mags and the dyno numbers are right around 137hp for the 800. The 700 was putting out 127hp and the 600 about 114hp from Polaris. Cat has the snotiest 700 out there with right around 140hp. Their F6 is around 115hp and the F5 about 105hp. The 700 and 800 03' Polaris sleds had messed up CDI boxes on both the XC and Pro-X. It was retarding the timing.
