I don't know if this has been posted but if you are dismantling your chaincase to change gears you can tip the sled on its side before you disassemble so you don't lose all of the chaincase oil.

why worry about saving the oil??? just change it . new oil is cheap insurance.
i've heard people doing that but never understood.....you have to take the pipe off any way.
if you are going to be make multipliable gear changes just use ATF till you get the set up you like.

If your looking to save money , run 10-30 motor oil in your chaine case...... its just about 1.50 per QT , just change it! I know the OEM syn oils are 8.00 for 12 oz but you dont need it .... ATF , motor oil , gear oil they all work fine .

i have change my oil at the start of the year and i tip my sled on the side to change my gears so i dont loose oil and also so non gets on the ice, im changing my gears for drags and running radar in the same day why would i put a brand new bottle in everytime ?????
