Ok here it is
sauce first
3 cans progresso brand tomatoes , look for ones with the small Italian flag that says , " pakaged in Italy" , 2 small cans progresso tomato paste,

Get big pot , poor some olive oil in , drop in 1 pack Italian sausage , 1 pack of pork chops , cut up fresh garlic drop it in , let these all brown a little bit without burning , medium heat. Then drop in cut up onion , pepper , ( I like the sweet yellow peppers ) Add tablespoon sugar ( cuts the acidity in tomatoes , keeps em from giving ya the shits) salt pepper Italian seasoning and drop all the cans of tomatoes and paste in now , cook on low heat for 5-7 hrs, best served next day.

Meatballs , get ground beef and ground pork, mix together in bowl, cut up fresh garlic, onions 1 egg , mixe all together with Italian bread crumbs , mix real well to consistant , roll into eatballs , drop em in sauce , let em cook right along with sauce for 5-7 hrs

meatballs

3 lbs ground beef we mix venison with the beef cause we can
12 oz evaporated milk (use a little less they hold together better that way)
1 cup oat meal
1 cup cracker crumbs
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp chili powder

sauce

2 cups ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp liquid smoke (optional)
1/2 tsp garlic powder.

I like to add real garlic green onions and a few other things to the mix also

when making the sauce make it in a pot on the stove on med. warm stir a lot

then bake all the meat balls in a pan in the oven, 350* for 15-20 min. flipping them once half way through

then put them in the crock pot on warm put the sauce over the top, walk away come home and eat up :div20:

SmileyT
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1 pound ground beef chuck
1 cup plain dry bread crumbs
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
ground black pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions; cook and stir until tender and lightly browned.
Whisk the egg in a large bowl. Add the onion, ground beef, bread crumbs, garlic salt, coriander, nutmeg, parsley and pepper; mix well using your hands. Shape into meatballs.
Place the meatballs into the skillet, and set over medium-high heat. Cover, and cook until browned on the bottom. Turn, and continue cooking covered, until meatballs are browned on all sides and no longer pink in the center, about 20 minutes. Drain on a paper towel.
Throw them in the crock pot with a can of Cream of Mushroom soup, and a can of Cream of Celery soup w/ a couple tablespoons of water. Let them simmer for a couple of hours, and serve them over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.

Thanks folks!! I made them last night...
I used 1lb of beef. The meatballs turned out good after 20 mins in the oven.

So in the crockpot they went along with the sauce I made..which was enough for 2lbs of meatballs.

On low heat, the crockpot was boiling the sauce. So I watched it and stirred it for a couple of hours and then switched it off to "WARM" setting.

So I guess I have a problem with boiling..any way to prevent this? Maybe I don't have enough food in my crockpot?

Drunken balls receipe

In a large bowl mix

6 oz of beer (i used Bud Light cause it's what i had but Corona is great for cooking though)
1/4 cup of garlic
1/2 of a large sweet onion
2 beef bullion cubes dissolved in just enough water to cover them
1 tsp of dry mustard
2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp black ground pepper
1 tsp italian seasoning
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 eggs
2 lbs of ground beef

mix thoroughly and drink other half bottle of beer.
form meat balls.

Cooking:
I used a baking pan with sides to it and rolled them over every 15 mins until done.
Another way of cooking them would be in a crock pot all day on low and fill it to the brim with sauce.

Today when I baked them I added 2 jars of turkey gravy to them. I plan on putting the mixture over rice tonight.
