DUHNIS
I had taken the groomer and drag out sunday morning and didn't get far before the water had wet the snow and plugged the drag. Went out with the packer assemblyand did a short section of 106 in So.Readingand the secondary trail to Downers Store bridge and headed over the hill behind the Fechville school to Brownsville. I had encountered many areas that had water that never were wet before , but over by the Clay Gate Farm, I sunk in over the tracks. After having help to get out of the mud/ water, we turned around and headed back home. There was some good portions of trails but with the trafficand the temps and now the rain, I am not holding out much hope for the trails. I can't remember it being this bad since '81. I feel sorry for the people who bought new sleds and the clubs that are trying to pay for their new groomers. :banghead:
DUHNIS
I went out saturday and inspected the trails, We had a couple of plugged culverts that had washed a portion of the trail partially out. Turned a lot of water and dug a bunch of water bars to help control the water. This summer the club has got to install a large # of culverts to improve things. Also the hydraulic Alamo 5' offset bush-hog that was just purchased will make the trails better and our job easier next year.
