did you call windermere cottage resort? Kennisis lake lodge, although you they may rent for the whole weekend. There's also silver eagle on eagle lake and i doubt they're booked up. highland motel in carnarvon, and the motel in haliburton. Sir Sam's Inn may have room, and you don't have to get their meal plan which saves big $, but its the nicest place up there.

where else have you called that's booked?

If your interested in a BB, my folks are setting one up as we speak. Let me know if your interested and I will call them. They are on Skyline Dr. ( the lookout) in Hal.
p.s. if your into partying it ain't for you, but it's a beautifull spot to kick back after riding.

Skyline Dr. is that the lookout trail right in the forest... That would be prefect (anymore info would be great), we ain't partyin, probably would only be sleepin for 8 hours then hittin the trails again.. Lookin to put as many miles on as possible.... We actually had debated about just riding the 2 days straight... but we figured maybe we should sleep a little, since it's a long drive..

I tried Windermere (full), Kennisis Lake lodge (full)... we are lookin to stay within riding distance, so that we don't have to use much time driving the truck back and forth, would rather use that time on the sled... never tried Silver eagle, don't know of them or have a #...

call Marg at Silver Eagle - Silver Eagle I know she's closed the resaurant, but you can probably still get a room. You can ride right from there, but only if they get snow on the lakes. Its a 30 min ride right into the forest or a 25 minute drive.

If you want nicer accomodations Sir Sam's Inn is the nicest up there with a great bar and its also on Eagle lake 30 min from the forest by sled or car. Call them and ask if they have just a basic room, no meal plans. I worked there for years and know the owners well; its worth the extra $.

Other than those 2 places you'd have to drive. There's a few resorts around Kashagawigamog lake, but you're looking at a bit further of a drive.

Also call Jeanne at Kennisis Lake Marine, there's a house that's right beside the marina that's rented out, maybe there's room or she knows somewhere you can stay. 705-754-2352.

when was the last time you stayed there? They were rated as the best Delta resort (not hotel) in Canada. I worked in hospitality up there and although I'd suggest many others over it, I don't think Pinestone is that bad.

:beerchug: If you don"t find a place to stay bring up an air mattress and sleeping bag. You can stay in a warm-up cabin as a last resort. They have showers at basecamp if needed.
