wonding what others were running for rpm's on 06 900, mine was 7650 but yesterday it was running 7200

I know that, i just wanted to know if they were all running at 7650. Mine did and than it ran down to 7200 and then i blow my belt.

you just answered your own question. Sled used to r at 7650, now pulls down to 7200, belt slip, belt blows. Check your clutches.

the first thing i would check is clutch alignment..........if thats good check your motor mounts dunno.gif

the polaris service manual says peak RPM: 7600 +/- 200.

Depends... Do you have enough traction?

FWIW - I've peaked 7650 on my 06 but on slop it's around 7300

Check your torque stop.... Mine just about fell out.

I was with him and it was ok conditions .
what he is gettimg to ,is do they run 7650 all the time and not all over the place like the 05.
He had an 05 so he knows about the aligment and such still waiting for his slp mounts.
