Some of you may have seen my posts from a few months back concerning my friends 05's Renegade 600SDI. The exhaust can would get red hot when he would run across the lake.

His dealer was unable to definitavely diagnose the issue, he ended up trading it in on a new Gade 600SDI.

He was up in Aroostook this weekend and lo and behold, once the sled passed it's break-in timing control set, the sled started to show signs of the same issue. At 3/4 throttle running a steady 70 -80 mph, stop, blue flames would come out the exhaust outlet and the can would be glowing red-hot.

He left his sled in Caribou with Plourde & Plourde, they had another 600SDI that had burned to the ground. They also had 2 more sleds from Pennsylvania displaying the same symptoms. The Penn guys were still riding their sleds and checking in with P&P to see if Skidoo had come up with a fix.

Apparently they pulled the Fuel maps off my friends sled and were able to reproduce the issue at the factory. So Doo recocognizes there is a problem with their fuel maps.

I guess the occurence is limited to those areas that the environment to allow sled to run extended periods @ 70 - 80 mph. Ontario, Aroostook...etc.

They should have a new fuel map for my friends sled this week.
