They do have different part numbers. But here is what I got.
94 zr 440 complete but blown up.
98 or 97 440 with no electical stuff.

Now here is the question...Can I just put the stator, coil, and cdi form the 94 on the 98 and have it work with a timeing key or something?

I really want the reeds... but I'm not willing to put alot of money into it I would like to just use the 94 stuff.

Would u be willing to sell that stator from your 94? I've got a complete 94 with a bad stator.

No sorry. The 98 one won't work. timing is to different.
