I'm wondering if one of these trail systems are better then the other. We are looking at either staying in Webster onGlacial Lake Trail, or Watertown off the Coteau des Prairie Trail. Any recommendation as to where to stay or food stops along the way would be great as well.

Thanks for your time!

From what I have heard the Eastern Trails are not in that great of shape (No Snow)

Go here for Trail Info http://www.sdgfp.info/Parks/Recreation/Sno...ng/trailcon.htm

I am heading out to the Black Hills Tomorrow afternoon

I've been in contact with the Snowmobile Associations over there, and they say the trails are actually still in very good condition. Some melt down yesterday and today, but still about a 6-8 inch base and the ditches are excellent. You go south 50 miles and there isn't no snow. It's not going to be the best but we should still be able to have some fun. More then we'll have here still in Southern MN.

The Webster area has 12-15" of snow!

Sat, I rode from Estelline to Watertown. The trails were smooth with about 4 to 8 inch of base with soft snow on the trail edges. The temps were climbing and the snow was getting soft toward the end. :fluffy:

There's plenty of snow to ride up there!!! Go for it, we were there 2 weekends ago. Was in the Hills last weekend.

Sunday the trails around Lake Poinsett were great. Get off on some side roads for some untracked soft snow. :fluffy: :div20:
