700 good,800 bad.I was told by blademan that odsdan is the crank setup man.personally I am giving up on the 800 and am keeping an eye out for a low mileage sled for the engine. It looks like picking up a whole sled may be cheeper than just a engine.Ive been riding the 700 and it goes good enough for my type of riding although its a little much for the wife, maybe Ive got my 700 and need to find a 600for her. This 800 will go back together with a new crank and will buy me a couple of thousand miles before it happens again,so I wont need to buy a replacement until spring/summer.Snowing now, going out on the 02 700 in about an half hour, the air-link is awesome!
I have a 700VES Blade that rocks. It has been dynoed at 130 HP. I don't think that you will get much more out of an 800 so why screw with it.
Gearing and clutching really wakes the sled up.
My Blade will stay with anything to 100. That is the way I have it geared.
I would maybe look at some of the newer 700 engines that Polaris has just come out with.
