Wanted to go out for a ride today with the wife and kid. Planned on going to Lake Tomahawk. Buddy went there and called from town telling me to forget it, Lake Tomahawk was not groomed and low snow with grass popping through in lots of spots.

I decided to avoid that and went north. Went up by Juve Rd., Then Big St. Germain Dr. to the trails north of there. Didn't get too far. Major moguls and snirt! After a while nobody was having fun and we said screw it and came home. The wife and I went out yesterday and they were OK, not great, but ok, about a 5 out of 10. By today they are crap and a 2 out of 10. As I'm typing this I'm hearing sleds in the distance. They must surely be desperate. All I can say is pray for snow.

Avoid sno-Flea trails like the Plague!! they always suck!!!

if you want a comfortable ride, forget about Lk Tom!!! that club has the worst trail maintenance I have ever seen. (grumpy old man club)

all other clubs trails that connect to them, is like night & day difference. grass & moguls on sno-flea trails, all of a sudden perfect conditions. You know you are out of Flea infestation country then.

I think they only groom the trails in months without an "R" in them!!!

I put a Hartz anti-flea collar on my sled!! and it still doesn't help!!

I agree, but I don't think St. Germains trails right now are any better.

The best trails I rode on this weekend were the eagle river headwaters and the sayner trails. The rest sucked. I realize that we had very little snow.
Vandercook road was alright. I have seen it better.

Hardly ever do. I usually have to ride over the swamp area. Which was open water yesterday. I am not much of a water skipper.
I take the mustang over there in the summer.
