He used Race Logic do-it-yourself porting in his ZR800 and and liked it so much he did his next sled too, a ZR900.

04 zr 900 - 04 fc 700 - 2000 t cat, all with good results. hope this helps.

i used the templates on my srx and you can tell the differece. it shits and gets.

Just had my ZR8 ported with Race Logic templates. Definate gains, especially with Black Magic super single. However, I was going to do the porting myself and most who know me say if anyone can do it, I can. After looking things over, I said no way. Took it to a local guy who works on all 2 strokes and he did a fantastic job, even matched the exhaust ports to the y-pipe. Cost me $250 for labor, $90 for the templates, total $340. Still less than D & D, Bikeman, etc. and probably as good, if not better.

zrnewf - the 04 900 was mine, the others were friends. the t cat gained huge as I ported the base @ the same time. gained about 4 sleds from the porting as far as we could tell. the twins we dont know what they gained as we did all the work out of the box. to compare our work we have raced against professional ported sleds and are trading wins. hope this helps :beerchug:

If you purchase "TSR's" porting program on CD, you will be able to design and port any 2 stroke motor, no templates needed, and it will do any size and make of engine. This is the same program that the factories and all the speed shops use. We use it, and have had great results.
