Almost setteled for $489 without collision. $723 with collision and a $500 deductable, after hearing $900 + from a progressive rep.
Tried met, nationwide, peerless, statefarm etc. Some just said no,they no longer insure snowmobiles.

Gave an Allstate rep. a call last effort with low expectations that I didn't have any other insurance with them.

A six month policy and the 16 ft. trailer included $237 Woo hoo !!!! Put it away for the summer and save lot's of money.

Thats with a clean record,no claims,15 years riding exp.
Where are insurance prices going? Is it being an 800 or being a blade?
Wish they would reserve the high prices for newby's on high powered machines.

You must check and see what you are insured for,I feel that if my sled grows wings I want it replaced! What about the mods that went into your sled, how do you replace that. How many 03 hpo 800 are on the market.?I would want a new one built to spec as the upgrades(seat, shocks, springs, engine work, ceramic coatings etc)could be put on the sled the when built helping defray the cost. What about collector value,I was told once that there may have been as few as 70 hpo's built.Make sure you ask how your policy works,I thought their description of replacement value was vague at best when applied to the blade. They told me that if it was stolen they would look in the classified ads and set a value based on what they are seeing for used values, good luck finding one,I paid the extra to up the replacement cost to $22k.All sleds steal easy, especially when on the trailer,How much are you out if you come home and find your trailer and sleds gone.I really like the blades and couldn't absorb the hit of 2 new blades and a trailer without adequate ins.My dealer warned me not to ride one,Its hard to go back to lesser riding sleds.

I pay $400 per year with $10,000. collision coverage on my Blade 700 with American Family Insurance.

You should try them.
