I did my first ride last night. Reading trails not groomed but passable. Watch out for water bars and low branches. Cavendish trails not groomed, low branches and water bars. Groomer had been through Bridgewater trails, again water bars. No groomer in Woodstock / Plymouth as of yesterday evening, trails passable but low branches and water bars.
This morning on my drive to work shows that Ludlow groomed, Springfield groomed, and West Windsor groomed.
We need more snow!

Trails were groomed along Rt 131 from Downers to Ascutney.

Cavandish, Shrewsbury and Coolidge were groomed last night. Coolidge was the best riding last night.

trails in So. Reading have been groomed , corridor by springfield , secondary by me- Little Ascutney club.
Today 3 of us volunteers cleared the new trail just above the Reading town garage parking lot.
The new trail goes STRAIGHT THROUGH THE PARKING AREA. WATCH FOR THE SIGNS !! We will still have to travel the road going north on vast rte. 106 , but only for 2 short sections . PLEASE KEEP OFF the horse pature field ,tearing down the electric fence does nothing for the image of ALL snowmobilers.
Also the lower portion of the secondary trail that goes to Downers store has been recieving a major de-brushing thru the wild rose bushes. One more week-end and that will be done. Nice and wide. There are more signs up than in past years.

Sunday, Myself and 1 other volunteer finished the lower portion of the secondary trail that goes to Downers store. The sloping portion of that trail at the base of Little Ascutney Mt. never was fixed ,But can only do so much in a year. :banghead:
This sunday, I will be working on the secondary from Reading school (Felchville) to West Windsor,Hopefully with at least a couple of volunteers. Trail signing and de-brushing. Starting @9:00 am at the field next to the school and working toward Brownsville- V.A.S.T. #5. :tease:
