Hey Madcat,
Looking for more details on your "ride from hell" the other day in Wheelock (what stream were you talking about, etc.). I ride in the same general area and will be up there next week. Thanks for any info.

You know the secondary trail that heads west towards Wheelock that starts at the Lynburke? Right by the bend in the Passumpsic there is a feeder stream. There was a bridge last year, but it was falling in. It's gone now. Hopefully it will be replaced quickly, or people are going to get hurt. Other then that, I bet once the other trails out of that area are groomed, they will be fine. Tons of snow here.

Thanks for the heads up madcat. I ride out of a place on Peak Road and access trail 51 at Ramsey Four Corners. Did you head that way? Danville groomers hadn't been out packing Saturday morning but might have by now. Gotta service the sleds the Monday after Christmas and may try to sneak a ride in the next day.

Well, that's where I ride from. My mother's house on Peak. Let me know when you are going to ride if you want. I took all of next week off. My riding buddies are dragging their feet, still don't have registrations or TMAs yet! And now, I really will never ride alone again.

Madcat, did you check out the new trail that will get us up to Ramsey w/o having to run all the way thru Sheffield after 52 was shut down last year. Was wondering how much time this saves?

Don't know yet, haven't been up it. Going to check it out today or Friday. Doesn't save me any, I still have to drive down Peak or Buckler hill to get to the trail. The nice thing is the trail goes through right by the Wheelock store so it should help them out.
