My uncle has toldme stories of going to Ohio (from NW PA) to a place
called Beef and Beer.
Just checking to see if it still exists or is open ?
Also are there registration laws in Ohio ?

I'm pretty sure its still there, I think its on rt 7 right off the freeway. I'm not sure sure of the reg laws, no one has ever given anyone in my group any problems, in fact I have yet to see any sort of enforcement in ohio.

Beef & Beer is just up the road from where I live. Have rode from home to there and have unloaded at the bottom of the hill where the Beef & Beer is and rode to Mayville, NY. Some nice "little" trails from the Ohio line to NY. Trail #4 all the way, east and west. Trails to the west of Erie maintained by the Triangle Snowmobile Club.

Thanks guys ! So you haveridden from Beef and Beer all the way to Mayville ... nice ride. I go up into NY quite a bit ... French Creek, Chataqua, Sherman areas.
We want to try to get to Beef and Beer ... I will check out the triangle snowmobile club to see if they have any trail maps on their site.
Thanks again!

I was wondering myself if the trail to B&B was still open. I believe B&B is still there. When I was in high school we uysed to ride from East Springfield PA or Albion PA to Conneaut OH to eat and the B&B.
Keep me posted.

Yup. You can still do it easily. Best bet when you hit the Oh/Pa line is to ride the back roads the last couple of miles. Not bad food at the B&B either.

Is the part of the trail that goes across the powerlines still there?
We used to also come from Cherry Hill Rd where it meets Stateline Rd and take a trail that takes you down near Conneaut Creek and then jump on Furnace Rd I think and back onto the trail andif I recall correctly that took us over some powerlines. I recall a sorta steep hill climp on one part of the trail. I don't think the hill was more than 20' high but it was a steep angle.

I know this belongs in the PA subforum but since there is some NE OH guys I am going to ask it here too. Do any of you ride out near Edinboro PA?

Thats why you're better off on the side roads in a couple of places. The power line in Ohio is very rugged. 4 wheelers have it tore all to hell and some of the older little bridges are long gone. Once you get into Pa. you're pretty much good to go all the way to NY.

I plan when I get another sled and when there is snow to make a voyage to
Beef & Beer. I might trailer over to East Springfield PA or Albion PA and go from there. I was over in East and West Springfield last night and they had anywhere from a dusting near RT20 to 2 - 3 inches out near the Triangle S trails on McKee RD and Old Albion RD. These are the trails I road on as a teen. Nice to see most of them are still there. Everything but snow.

I am thinking of later this week taking the trailer and dropping the sleds at the Springfield ball park and riding in the area. I grew up out there and should know most of the trails.

Home Tavern is letting sledders park in their lot also. it is west of the ball fields, you can catch the trail right out of the parking lot. trails should be in great shape, i'm sure the local club has been out grooming.(triangle s snowmobile club)

I know where that is. I grew up in East Springfield just east of the ball diamonds on Main street (Old Rt20 / Old Ridge Road).
Matter of fact the trail that goes through the gravel pit between Sanford and McKee road I actually built.
