I am willing to travel if there are any trails open? You guys in NS are hogging all the snow!

So the question is: Are there trails open or anyplace with a decent amount of snow to make a quick trip down from NB worthwhile in the next few days?

Colchester, Cumberland, Pictou and Antigonish Counties have all recived some snow.

I know people are riding around sutherland's lake area, but I don't know if it's worth the drive for you dunno.gif

I was out last night around my house and it was pretty good, and they got more snow up there from what I saw. Don't know if they have the base we got earlier here though

Theres a Dalhousie Mountain Club meeting tonight. Hopefully someone will send me the info and i can get the site updated because I can't make the meeting. I know there's lots of snow up there now and a few people have been out but I'm not sure about the grooming situation yet and no one has sent me any reports to post on the site. keep checking.

This is very good news. They key now is to knock the snow down and have a good base for the whole season. Even if they get most of the main trails down up there. It will set up nicely for the spring.

Maybe Ill have to head up there for Sunday.

Just back in here from a run around day (van, not sled). Lots of snow here (Springhill area), but it's bottomless powder stuff, prime for wreckage on rocks n stuff. No marks on trails at all, except ATV tracks from yesterday in one place. I can't see any groomers going out around here yet, they'll be in pieces before there's good snow...
Red Rooster
Waiting to see what will happen on saturday here in the highlands before we groom. A bit touchy to get up the mountain as it is now. Groomer will be ready to go Friday afternoon just in case.

any grooming going on up there? Planning to make a trip up Saturday and sunday if things are running smoothly.

Wicked snow in Antigonish area trails. Heavy sledding :augen41:
There is still a few spots with water flowing, nothing the groomer won't fix, but
The groomer is broke!!

We were stuck a few times today !!!
