How is the riding in speculator?? Looking to go Friday want to find out how it is. Is there enough snow or what is up. Let me know Thanks :doh:

Groomers are out 1-2ft snow pack in perkins with a potential of a foot of snow on friday should be excellent!!!..

I believe the groomers were up there but with this fluffy snow we have you might end up bumping some rocks here and there.But if we get a good shot of snow it will help immensley.

Where's the best place to park up there? We usually park up the road from Melody Lodge on the right side.

The best place to park is the mason lake parking area approx 7 miles north of melody but if we get hammered be there early as the lot fills up quickly...

RIDE FROM SPECULATOR TO SALSBURY

There is a pretty big lot in speculator. You may know it. Take a right on 30 instead of a left to go to the Melody, if you are heading up 8. Don't know where Glenville is. You will be about 15 min ride to Perkins or depending on the lakes you could head in the other direction towards Sacandaga, Oxbow, Piseco... Can't go this weekend, so keep posting conditions. :beerchug:

Just stay off the lake until they have time to harded

Total snow fall here in the village is approx 14 inches.. no time for pics(to busy plowing)..

Just got back...we arrived at 9:30 and the ride up was nerveracking but other than that it was fun. Parked at the perking clearing lot i think, that was a bitch getting out. We rode 50 miles on fresh powder and messed around. the groomers haven't been out yet but everyone going up this weekend should have some good trails and nice riding. We left the digital camera at home go figure.

the answer is yes there are tracks on LP but I would stay off untill we get some colder weather..

yea i saw tracks on the lake but i dont have the balls/stupidity to ride on the lakes yet, im not fond of riding on them to begin with.

is there any way to ride from perkins to powley yet?

I heard that they are riding the short part of Oxbow in front of the bar
