Just got my top end back from BMP. Port job. Head cut. SLP single pipe. Also bought a Boondocker. Do you guys have any idea what to start the box out at?

Iam not sure but you probably wont need to adjust it until the valves open at that specific rpm. The best way to do it is on a dyno then you can go out into a field to fine tune it,and the bottom end.

What rpm is the pipe for? I have a lot of fuel taken out in the mid range on my ZR1010. But I add a lot in at 7800. I would think your box would be for a higher rpm . Most newer ones are. With a Monster single and 1010cc I added between 15 and 18 added at hi load. I would leave it all at zero's until above 6700. It is pig rich until the very top end. You might not even need to add very much at top. A stock ZR900 dynoed with a Monster single was safe for short runs @8100 with stock fuel curve. So I would think the box will only need to add a very little amount on top. You might be surprised how much you fuel needs to be taken out of the mid-range. Wow1.gif If you need some more numbers PM me. I would advise a trip to the dyno too.
Good Luck :beerchug:

Well...........let me tell you this! I did end up removing a bunch in the middle. I was horrible rich and idle so took some out on bottom also. This thing is so much faster than my F7. All the guys over on the Firecat Forum always claim no 900 runs with them. Hmmm???? This thing gets to 100mph so fast it's scary. Bring em on. Heading to Dyno after 1st of year.

Any dyno info yet?

anybody know of hand what the stock fuel pressure is for a 900. I think there all the same but mine is an 2004. I put a home made regulator on last night to get a base line and it read 45 psi, dan at D & D told me to bring it down from 50 psi to 45 psi (plenty fat at .83 -.85) . Could I have restricted it with my regulator wide open ? or just have a weak pump ?

Any ideas

Gauges and pumps all differ. If it is rich start leaning it down, As long as you can tune, the gauge is only a guide to where you are at. I don't have a gauge on mine, but stock it was real rich.

Thanks for your input, the plugs were BLACK at 45 psi. I'll let you know.
