JUst read that Polaris has issued a tech bulletin on the ignition programming for the '03 700 and 800 sleds. Seems they changed the programming for that year and it really hurt performance and fuel mileage. Mine goes in for the update in about 6 weeks so I'm really looking forward to getting it back. I told my dealership last year that for a Edge X 700 mine was lacking power I felt should be there. I came off a 2000 VES 500 and noticed very little difference in the mid and top end. I really hope that this is my problem.

Dan that update has been out since feb. Some people says it works some say they can't tell any difference.

Was curious about this also, my boss just upgraded from a 2000 45th Ann. 700 to a 2003 left over Edge X 700.
I showed him the article in the .Tech mag. and now he is all worried that its going to be slower than his 45th Ann. 700

Dan: You might want to check the bellows in your power valves for cracks. I had this problem and it suck the hp right out of my sled. LOL
