Any of you ladies interested in taking a Train the Trainer course so you can in turn give the snowmobile training which we will all need in the next 2 years?
The government hasn't decided on the training program yet but once they do there will be a big push on to get people trained to give others training so we all can meet the new laws.
I'm interested and I am trying to get organized with a few others so we can get the first course available, having 5 or 6 people wanting the course will make it easier to get. The ATV train the trainer is 5 days long, and I'm assuming the snowmobile course is similiar in length.
The way it was explained to me is that the train the trainer participants must have some experience training in some fashion or have a professional designation or some type of professional career, basically the trainer need to be credible. They won't accept a Hill Billy Jim type that has been riding a snowmobile for 20 years, the person needs other qualifications.

Andrew, clean out your inbox so I can reply to you.
503, it costs $800 to take the ATV train the trainer course, so I'm assuming the snowmobile course will be the same. When you train, most charge $50 to 60 for club/association members and $85 to $90 for non club or association members. Now not all of that is profit for the trainer, you have to pay for tests, books, insurance, rental locations for the course etc. Its not a get rich plan.

Sounding like something I don't have enough time for, simply speaking.
Seems like I already don't have enough time to do the things I have to do now.
Got a foot of snow in the yard this morning, and I don't even have my carbs cleaned or sled greased yet...

It will take some time but its not happening now, it'll be at least 4 week before the government gets thier crap together and figures out what training is acceptable.
