if there was a loud ass noise coming from the primary clutch at and speed, idle and on, but the sled seemed to grab just fine what would you think the noise was being cuase by? the only way i can think of to discribe the noise would be taking a stick and running it down the side of a fence really fast. thanks for any help!

its prolly just the belt. if there is a small burn or a chunk takin out of the side of the belt it will do that. on my 670 there was a tiny burn in the side of the belt and i took it off , put a new one on and it was fine. but you can run that belt for a while if you need to it should be ok. ckeck the belt

could be it

If it's a rattling noise, this is common on the TRA primary's. Likely means that the o-rings behind the buttons are shot. I replaced mine and the rattling was gone.
