Just wondering if anyone is having the problem of the DET light coming on at full throttle? While running down a dirt road with lots of snow and cooling the DET light will start to come on bright red. If I let off the throttle just a little bit the light will go out. All that is done to the seld is jetted down one size on the main's and the neddle dropped a notch. That shouldnt affect the sled enough to make the DET light to come on.

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh ya. Had the 600HO SB on the crank dyno and punched out some real good numbers. Stock to. No mods.

Put the needle back to stock. Possibly poor fuel, as one size down on the mains should be plenty safe.

Remember your DET light is also your Temperature light, atleast it is on 04/05 models.
I wouldn't be playing with the needles.....
You sure you were getting enough cooling on your exchangers?
Maybe bleed the coolant system again just to be sure. :div20:

In backing up Pockets, last year at +@ Celsius at WOT mine was flashing the light= Poor Fuel from Port Hood...Added a bit of Iso- and new fuel no problem

P.S I'll be home from Korea Dec,23rd. Gimme a call..I'll pull the sled out of BigDog Racing/Dr.Polaris Race Shop :augen41:

Oh here is the new toy.....Don't show Ashley...But you can show Jason.

I have a tank full of regular fuel in the tank. I was told that I should run supreme in the sled. I am used to running regular in my old 04 600 SB. Maybe I will have to start running supreme all the time.
The sled was running at 125-130 Deg.

The DET sensor is seprate on the 06 compared to the 04/05.

Had the needles down one notch on the 04 and the main jets down 2 sizes and had no problems at all. Actually cleaned the sled up a little bit. Brought the fuel mileage up from 110 miles a tank to 135-140 per tank. And when the wife drove it on groomed trails she managed to get 160 miles to the tank. No Bull either.

Will change the fuel in the sled and try supreme and maybe change the needles back to stock.

Matt check to make sure the sensor is tight where it connects to the head.
Could be something stupid.....but it could possible to be Detonating with lower octane fuel at WOT if they are running these HO's that close.
Definately try the new fuel first :cn:

If that doesn't work give me your CDI box Ahemmmmmmmm :div20:
I'll get it tweaked for ya!

On my 04 800 SB I had a head gasket leak and DET came on all the time. One sign off this is to make sure your koolant is up and keep a eye on your koolant bottle for foam when it is up to temp. Caught mine pushing some foam out the over flow tube.
