noticed the DET on and off on my setup which is 05 800 switchback slp single, can , air horn , and flowrites. its not lean at all and I even tried the switch on reg gas position and the DET keeps showing. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Do you see the light come on at full throttle, or part throttle? What jetting, and needle setting. It could also be a tank of low octane fuel.

Its coming on at 1/2 to full throttle. Im running 93 octane in her right now. Im going to set the needle back at 3.5 with the SLp needle shim. Jets at 500's. Im also checking the timing, TPS sensor make sure its at 4.0 at WOT and checking the DET where it enters the head. Doesnt make sense Im not too lean Ive verified that.

I would guess oxygenated fuel. Try switching where you got the gas from. The airbox is gutted right? RN57YCC plugs? Is the needle #3 right now? Put some redline water wetter in it as well, helps heat transfer.
