The oil light on my 1997 580 EFI is on. The oil resevoir is full, and it looks like oil is being used. Is there another reason this light may be coming on or is there something I should be checking?

Yep, replace the sensor. Part # 0609 - 503. Should be under 50 bucks.

Thanks, I really just wanted to make sure that the 'oil light' does in fact only refer to oil level and not that the oil pump wasn't working! I'll get the new sensor and in the mean time, I'll keep a careful eye that the oil doesn't get to empty!
